White linen Archer at Lake Como!

white linen button-up Archer shirtGrainline patterns, love! The tiny pocket tank and now the button up Archer, beautifully drafted! I love them, can’t wait to try the Alder shirtdress.

But here’s my Archer, white linen………. before I became obsessed with sewing I was always on the lookout for the perfect white shirt, now I can make my own. I can make it fit exactly how I want.

  1. Well Barbara, you have outdone yourself this time. Beautiful sewing and gorgeous views. Very impressed indeed. I am really enjoying your posts and photos. I would enjoy it even more if I were in Italy too!

    • Ha ha, thanks Gail, it does win over the Canberra garage door for a back drop. The lakes are so beautiful its going to be hard coming home.

Wonder if I could turn writing about sewing, illustrated in exotic locations into paid work….ahh dreams

  2. Hi Barbara,

Beautiful shirt and the seams are impeccable. Very impressive! The french seams finish it beautifully – so much nicer than any other method. I have enjoyed watching you put your travel wardrobe carefully and creatively together and now we get to travel with you too and see the scenery.
    Have a wonderful holiday.

    • Hi Rose, thanks for commenting. Don’t you find the more you sew the more you appreciate the finishing touches. I love a flat felled and a French seam these days, such a sewing nerd. We’re having a lovely holiday and it makes for better backdrops than the garage door in Canberra.
