I made a new dress! For Canberra’s inaugural frocktails!
Simon tells me it is possible to wear a dress more than once, but where’s the fun in that (just kidding). I also wanted to test a pattern for a MOB dress (mother-of-the-bride!!).

This is Vogue 1374 described as a close-fitting, lined, pullover dress has bias neck binding, shoulder yokes, back pleated drape with weighted tab, back extending into fish tail hemline.
I found the drape a little fiddly, but once done, the rest of the dress was easy. Just 2 darts no zips or buttons.
The fabric is a poly velvet burn-out from Tessuti with a stretch lining from Addicted to Fabric.
